Abstract: This thesis deals with the National Socialist school policy from 1933 to 1945. In the Federal Republic, the examination of this historical issue began with a systematic study of the school policy of that time in the mid-1960s. It primarily investigated the structural changes in the education system as well as the significant content-related interventions and reorientations. Shortly thereafter, the first collection of sources was published. By the end of the 1960s and into the mid-1970s, research increasingly focused on the National Socialist education and schooling system.
