Nature images are crucial for a sustainable relationship with oneself and with nature, as they structure and guide behavior. Since the foundation for these concepts and attitudes is established through experiences in childhood within the family, school, and living environment, children of primary school age are the target group of this work. Theoretical and empirical analyses explore the connection between nature images and the lived experiences of children, including a life-world analysis from a child's perspective. By reconstructing the genesis and creating a typology of children's nature image types, the book provides important insights for nature-related educational processes.
