The Heiderandsiedlung Hellerau in the north of the Saxon capital Dresden, located on the Rähnitz and Klotzsche fields, is the first German garden city. The foundation stone of the community was celebrated in June 1909 at the Green Tip. This literary excursion into the first three decades of the last century focuses on 40 bio-bibliographical short portraits of authors who chose Hellerau as their residence.
