On the occasion of the 300th birthday of Heinrich Melchior Mühlenberg (1711-1787), who is regarded as the patriarch of the Lutheran Church in North America, not only were his life's work commemorated in Halle and the USA, but also in Grosshennersdorf/Oberlausitz, where Mühlenberg served as the inspector of the poor and orphanage from 1739 to 1741. The two lectures given by the director of the Francke Foundations, Dr. Thomas Müller-Bahlke, at the site of Mühlenberg's work, which is now part of Herrnhut, are hereby presented to the public.
