"Expressionism" is dedicated to the exploration of one of the most influential art movements of the 20th century, which, despite its short duration, involves a multitude of participants and manifests in various artistic forms. This journal presents a forum for the first time that aims to bring together insights from different scientific disciplines and promote mutual exchange. In this way, it seeks to complete the picture of historical expressionism as well as trace its repercussions into the present day. The second issue of the journal "Expressionism" focuses on the performative aspect of expressionist art. Expressionist works are programmatically oriented towards societal change—a goal that expressionist art not only constantly communicates but also actively implements.
