Early assistance and the Prevention Act are transforming the healthcare system as well as child and youth services. A key role is played by networking – how is this organized on the ground? What changed self-understanding is expressed in this? What opportunities and risks lie within the networks? In child and youth services, early assistance represents a new working principle aimed at overcoming administrative thinking and developing support from the families' perspective. In healthcare, there is also a growing awareness that health is not created in the examination room, but in people's everyday lives, which should be developed in a health-promoting and preventive manner. This new orientation requires local networking so that municipalities can effectively help and support even under the conditions of social change. The book presents local action options.
