"Are you still dreaming or are you already living?" This could be the headline for the current surge in community living initiatives. More and more people are seeking a new form of living in their own homes, complemented by communal activities, gatherings in their living environment, and group leisure activities. Interestingly, this phenomenon is developing at a time of extreme individualization and professional differentiation. Do we, then, have needs and inclinations for both: distinction and a sense of community? Eva Wonneberger explores this question and interviews residents of existing, intergenerational community living models about their experiences. The possibilities and impressions of pure senior living in the sense of "Gray is Colorful" also come to light. Additionally, voices from those involved in the creation of green eco-villages are featured.
