The special development of dentistry and dental technology within medicine has led to the emergence of a multitude of technical terms that are not or only partially recorded in general multilingual medical dictionaries. The aim of this dictionary is to provide as broad and current an overview as possible of the specialized dental technology in the languages of German, English, French, and Spanish; at the same time, terms from the everyday language of those working in dental, oral, and maxillofacial medicine and dental technology are also included. Consequently, this work is primarily aimed at dentists and oral surgeons, dental students, dental technicians, and dental health professionals, but also at interpreters and translators, as well as anyone else involved in this field.
