Boys wear dark colors, Power Ranger t-shirts, and play with diggers. Skirts are for girls, just like pink and Princess Lillifee. At least that's what our society conveys, and it does so very successfully: there are clear ideas about what is masculine and what is feminine, and who should wear what.
