Brain research has shaken up the educational discourse. Although its contributions to teaching and learning are not always new, it provides school pedagogy with important impulses for modeling a neuropsychology of brain-friendly learning and teaching. The two disciplines complement each other well when it comes to the question of which methodological and didactic settings best promote student learning.

The third edition of "Neurodidactics" has been completely revised and includes, in addition to an updated introduction, new contributions on optimizing learning and memory capacity, learning with all senses, the importance of positive educational relationships, and the significance of executive functions for self-regulation and self-directed learning. It is a scientifically grounded compilation of current brain research and neuropsychology with a focus on classroom practice.
