The Niko Reading Book for the 2nd grade offers a differentiated approach to reading and learning. It contains a variety of texts divided into three levels of difficulty: minimum, standard, and expert. This structure allows learners to work at their individual level and gradually develop their reading skills. The texts are designed in syllabic print, which promotes readability and comprehension. Additionally, each reading text is accompanied by tasks in three areas of requirements that support understanding and analysis of the content. A special feature of the book is the Niko overlay sheet, which facilitates working in the book and allows for self-assessment. At the end of the book, there are special pages that convey important reading strategies and support learners in independent study. The Niko Reading Book is also approved for the 2016 primary school curriculum in Baden-Württemberg.
