Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a pilot and writer, had to make an emergency landing in the Egyptian desert in 1935. He marched through the desert for five days before he could be rescued. On July 31, 1944, he embarked on his final flight from which he did not return. His book "The Little Prince" was first published in 1943 and has since sold millions of copies. During his journey to various planets, the little prince met a variety of characters - a king without subjects who immediately regarded him as his subject, a drunkard, a vain man who only sought admiration, and a rich man who thought of nothing but money. Often classified as a modern fairy tale, the book serves as a hidden critique of the society of its time and contains many references to selfish, capitalist, and vain behavior.
