The clarification of the relationship between institution and organization is significant for an analysis of the Bertelsmann Foundation. The book addresses the foundation and its institutional environment, focusing on the aforementioned relationship to conceptually grasp the foundation against the backdrop of an attempt to classify political institutions. It also discusses the limitations of economic institutionalism. Only a constitutional economic perspective overcomes these boundaries and clarifies the goals of the Bertelsmann Foundation.
