Robotics is one of the most important future technologies of our time. It is accompanied by the increasing mechanization of humans. This development requires a philosophical and legal debate about in which areas of life autonomous decision-making machines should be used and which bodily functions should be enhanced by machines. Already today, important decisions in the military or the economy are made by machines, and the interest in the production of optimized artificial sensory organs is steadily growing. Before discussing specific questions related to this development, some fundamental aspects should first be clarified. The conference proceedings focus on considerations regarding the moral standpoint of artificial intelligence, the free will of robots (with regard to the axiom of choice), autonomy, and biopolitics.
