MietNovG 2.0: Up-to-date on the reform of modernization law 2017. Rental law is changing rapidly: Following the comprehensive re-regulation of modernization law in 2013 and the rent control measures in 2015, another amendment to the modernization regulations is already on the horizon. The focus is on lowering the maximum allowable rent increase, introducing a time limit for rent increases, implementing a cap on modernization surcharges, simplifying the rent increase process for small landlords, and clarifying and expanding the tenant's objection based on economic hardship. Therefore, the demand for legal advice is increasing once again.
