The Roman camps of Novaesium, present-day Neuss in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, are one of the most significant military sites of the Roman Empire in the Rhineland and have been part of the Lower Germanic Limes UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2021. They existed from the Augustan period until 275/276 AD. The research on these camps dates back to the extensive excavations conducted by Constantin Koenen (1854–1929) in the approximately 30-hectare Legionary Camp G between 1887 and 1900. The volume Novaesium X completes the material basis for the excavations and reconstructs the sequence of the various camps. Numerous illustrations, plans, and tabular compilations of the finds and features document the arguments and conclusions of the authors.
