After a bathing trip, the body of 54-year-old Aylin Schmid is found. Urs and Uschi, who work for the Aargau cantonal police in Baden, initially assume it was an accident. However, it soon becomes clear that the woman was poisoned. The investigators begin to examine Aylin Schmid's surroundings. Uschi's mother knew the victim from her own youth. Eventually, she reveals a dark secret: more than 30 years ago, she gave birth to her first child in Turkey, which Aylin sold to Germany without her mother's knowledge. When a young woman appears who looks just like Uschi's mother, suspicion arises that she might be connected to the crime. However, she is far from the only suspect: Aylin's ex-husband had several motives for the crime. Finally, a new clue emerges - but the dead cannot speak.
