We believe that each of us is a very specific, irreplaceable personality that must assert itself as successfully and recognized as possible. Along this journey, we experience numerous disappointments, often seeking their causes in other people, and frequently realizing that our successes do not truly fulfill or satisfy us internally. The title of the book points to the goal of Buddhist teachings: letting go of this illusory opinion about ourselves and the realization that life is simply easier without me.
