Aadi Panicker, a self-made man from Mumbai, is the owner of a gourmet empire. His high-quality chutneys, sauces, and pickles can be found in delicatessens and upscale department stores. The Pathia sauce is what established his wealth, and he is deeply attached to it. Then, a villain appears and manipulates the sauce. His daughter, whose wedding is now postponed, suffers alongside him. Secretly, she asks Angus MacDonald for help. The case soon becomes too complicated for him, and for the first time, he loses the desire to investigate. His co-detective, Alberto Vitiello, feels the same way. Both detectives could focus on their everyday work, if it weren't for the ghost in Vitiello's guest house and the nutritionist Miss Armour, who lives with her charming daughter Thomasina at MacDonald's place. She makes him extremely jealous and could even be involved in the case.
