This didactics has emerged from practice and is the result of many years of teaching experience at all levels of high school, in part-time computer science teacher training, and in university education. The book consists of a compact theoretical section followed by four chapters with numerous examples that have arisen from the classroom and have been well tested. School computer science is an essential component of a contemporary general education. The technical subject enables a student-centered, product-oriented teaching approach through its content, methods, and tools. The examples aim to provide an impression of this approach. In their quantity, they form a kind of collection of ideas for creative teaching. The book establishes school computer science as a subject of general education, shaped by six fundamental ideas.
