Unfortunately, the completeness of Virchow's correspondence with his children is not available. There seem to be no letters from the children to Rudolf Virchow at all. Letters to his three sons, Carl, Hans, and Ernst, have also not been preserved. What is presented here are letters from Virchow to his three daughters, Adele, Marie, and Hanna (in the order of their birth), which are highly informative and provide insights into the biographies of Virchow and other related individuals that have never been known before. This collection certainly brings forth new and previously unknown information for research.
