The "Röhm Putsch" was a turning point in the development of the "Third Reich." Numerous SA leaders were executed under the pretext of having planned a coup against Hitler. However, respected politicians from the bourgeois-conservative camp also fell victim. One of them was the Catholic Erich Klausener, who was the head of the police department in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior during the Weimar Republic. The murder case of Erich Klausener was first heard in 1951 at the Regional Court of Berlin. At that time, the press referred to it as a sensational trial. The accused was former SS-Sturmbannführer Kurt Gildisch, who carried out special assignments for Reinhard Heydrich.
