The optimization and implementation of active driving interventions, as well as their interaction in the realization of safety and comfort functions at various levels of automation, are described. The focus is on selected mathematical methods and techniques from control engineering and computer science (robotics), along with their practical methodological implementation. At the same time, a deep insight into the challenges of current research systems is provided.
