Nick Bostrom is a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Oxford and the founding director of the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Research Centre, as well as the program on the impacts of future technologies within the Oxford Martin School. He is the author of several publications, including "Anthropic Bias," "Global Catastrophic Risks," and "Human Enhancement." Previously, he taught at Yale University and was a postdoctoral researcher at the British Academy. Bostrom has a background in physics, computational neuroscience, and mathematical logic, as well as in philosophy.
