For the federal government, information and communication technologies (ICT) are the number one driver of innovation. The North Rhine-Westphalia state government is also focusing on innovation through digital transformation with NRW 4.0. In the educational context, digital media seem to offer previously unimagined possibilities. However, the latest PISA evaluation on computer use in schools also shows: Computers do not automatically improve teaching. The didactic potentials and educational requirements of digital media were the focus of the 33rd Münster Conversations on Pedagogy. The conference proceedings document the scientific presentations, innovative projects from school practice, as well as initiatives from education policy and school administration. The guiding perspective is the question: How can we manage the opportunities and risks of digital media in a way that creates educational added value?.
