Every year, more than 350,000 people die in nursing homes. Providing adequate care and support is a heartfelt concern for many caregivers. The law supports them: Since the new hospice and palliative care legislation, end-of-life support has become an explicit part of the care mandate of health insurance and thus the cooperating facilities. Targeted project developments need to be initiated in these facilities, as high-quality care means support until the end of life.
