Accompaniment in the Final Phase of Life

Threatening illnesses are significant turning points in the lives of patients and their families. For pharmacies, providing care, counseling, and support to those affected presents a unique challenge. The multidisciplinary author team is guided by the curriculum of the certificate training in Palliative Pharmacy from the BAK and the German Society for Palliative Medicine (DGP) and offers, in addition to the fundamentals of palliative care, further information: about the pharmacy's role in providing optimal pharmaceutical care to those affected, how to alleviate symptoms, improve quality of life, and maintain independence for as long as possible, as well as how to support patients at the end of life and their families and accompany them in coping with grief. With this work, you are prepared for the task of professionally caring for the seriously ill, the dying, and their families.
