To what extent have the ideas about the relationship between social projects and commercial business, or the hope for the latter's fundamental significance for the former, been validated, and to what extent have they proven to be an illusion? The transformative potential of commercial business has been validated, as it breaks through its traditional limitations under the specific political and economic conditions it has created at the beginning of modernity and becomes fully capitalistic. This totalization into a capitalist value creation system and the political-economic historical power it gains thereby allow commercial business to advance as a projector or bearer of hope for social programming. It is thus assigned the role of a supporter of social change and political renewal.
