Maurania was long considered one of the most paradisiacal countries in Africa. However, recent unrest has shaken the remote nation, and the aging despot, King Rodon, is losing power. Sick and weak, he reaches out to his daughter Ann, whom he hasn't seen in ten years, and asks for her help. But the plane meant to bring her to him crashes near the city of Madargane, and Ann loses her memory. In the palace of the Prince of Mandargane, she is confronted with mysterious events and puzzles while desperately trying to uncover her identity. Her passport identifies her as Ann Smith from Geneva. However, Dr. Ann Smith is the author of the book "The Lost Paradise of Maurania," a book that was published over 100 years ago in 1885!
