For the fourth time, the 2012/2013 edition of the biennial publication Best of Austria offers an impressive overview of the architectural production and current architectural achievements in Austria. Approximately 170 projects by Austrian and international architects, which have been awarded architecture prizes in the past two years, are presented. The buildings are showcased with photographs, selected plans, and short texts by renowned authors. Outstanding individuals and architectural teams are honored in brief portraits. An essay by Croatian architecture critic Vera Grimmer provides an analysis of Austrian architecture and building culture from an external perspective. The book is complemented by a detailed index that offers all relevant information about the awards.
