Global climate change is a widely and controversially discussed topic. Aside from natural disasters, which are interpreted differently depending on interests, it remains a largely intangible phenomenon. The experiment of a climate garden makes its effects concretely experienceable: it becomes visible which plants can grow in a location in the future, what people will eat, and how, for example, our gardens will look. This research is based on detailed climate scenarios that can be applied to specific geographical locations. This manual demonstrates how such a public experiment can be implemented globally at regional and local levels. Texts from human geographers, art historians, and ecologists are complemented by a practical guide to creating such a climate garden, detailing all the necessary steps.
