In architecture - and especially in residential construction - one is never the first. Practically everything has been done before; every concrete solution is made up of contributions from earlier architects and in turn expands the resources for subsequent creations. In the work of the office pool Architekten, founded 20 years ago, residential building projects have always been at the center of research, which is also related to the collective origins of the cooperative. The book "Poolology of Living" aims to convey the spirit of experimentation that drives this work at pool. The collaboration within the architects' collective and with students from TU Berlin makes it possible to expand the realm of thought beyond the boundaries of individual designers.
