Anna Adam (March 21, 1963, in Siegen) is a German painter, set designer, qualified educator, and exhibition designer. As the child of Holocaust survivors, she provocatively engages with Judaism in her work. When asked how she views her satirical creations, she replied: "It's more self-defense. When you work on Jewish themes and are repeatedly confronted with nonsense like 'Oh, you're Jewish, but you're so young' or 'Oh, you're Jewish, but you speak German so well,' you eventually tell yourself: If it weren't so ridiculous, you could laugh about it.".
