The history and development of North American Indians is illustrated with approximately 500 postcard images and described with texts. During the "Golden Age" of postcards at the beginning of the 20th century, Germany was a center of postcard production. Over 20,000 tons of printed postcards were delivered to the United States each year, including a variety featuring Indian motifs.
