It reflects on the question of invention and the Other, particularly in light of coming and event. What is an invention? And what does invention mean when it must be one of the Other? Through a reading of Cicero, Paul de Man, Francis Ponge, as well as juridical-technical institutions, the question is posed: Is the invention of the Other an allegory, a myth, a fable? Or an event? While the statutory economy of public invention does not shatter the mirror of the Same, the deconstructive invention implies: to invent would now mean: to know, to come to say, and to respond to the coming of the Other.
