Patagonia
German, Reiner Sahm, 2015Product details
The "End of the World," as the region was called by Spanish conquerors in the 16th century, has always been a magnet for settlers, sailors, adventurers, explorers, and writers. Many myths surround this remote land, which remains very sparsely populated. Some areas are still terra incognita, as large parts of the region are too harsh and inhospitable, with Patagonia's nature defined by extremes: deserts, fjord landscapes, steppes, volcanoes, glaciers - moist and cool rainforest areas in the west, contrasted by a barren, dry steppe landscape in the east. Reiner Sahm has embarked on this adventure and brought back wonderful images from the "Home of the Winds," showcasing the full spectrum of this fascinating region. His photographs draw the viewer into the action simply through their grandeur.
