Product details

The family, as the primary living environment for young people, is also a theme in literature, particularly in children's and youth literature. This book presents a selection of relevant primary literature that illustrates the various representations of new family forms. Special attention is given to the protagonists' approaches to their respective family situations. It becomes clear that children's and youth literature not only describes the risks arising from changes in family structures but also the opportunities that emerge for children as a result. Britta Minges, Ph.D., studied German studies with a focus on literature communication and the archaeology of the Middle Ages and modern times at the University of Bamberg, and completed her doctoral studies at the University of Innsbruck. She lives and works in Stuttgart. Excerpt from the table of contents: 1. Introduction and Research Question 2. D.
