Product details

Annemarie Weber (name since marriage: Annemarie Lorenzen, pseudonyms: Katja Henning, Paula Pepper, June 8, 1918 in Berlin; January 15, 1991 in Berlin) was a German journalist and writer. Annemarie Weber was the daughter of an auditor. She worked as a bookseller and wrote journalistic and narrative contributions for newspapers and radio since the early 1940s. After the end of World War II, she worked among other things as an interpreter for the British military government and later for RIAS. Since 1952, she lived as a freelance journalist and writer in Berlin. In the 1960s and 1970s, she published a series of novels in which she often processed her own experiences. Annemarie was married to the writer Rudolf Lorenzen, whom she had inspired to write. In 1962, she received the Jun literature prize.
