The traumatic injuries of the brain and spinal cord are comprehensively addressed in the three consecutive volumes (Volume 13/VI A to C of the Special Pathological Anatomy). What distinguishes this work are, among other things, three overarching features: 1. The systematic presentation of the major trauma-related injuries of the brain and spinal cord, organized by topology and pathogenesis. 2. The epidemiological characteristics of trauma consequences from sports accidents as well as from road, rail, and air traffic accidents. 3. The analysis of the patho-anatomical findings considering the clinical-functional consequences. This volume 13/VI C focuses on the traumatic injuries of the brain.
