Anyone who dedicates themselves to the study of theology should note that the interpretation of the Holy Scriptures (exegesis), particularly that of the New Testament, never occurs in a vacuum. Especially where we strive for the pure word of God, not only our own faith or disbelief plays a role, but also contemporary perspectives. This textbook demonstrates that the supposedly neutral and ostensibly unbiased interpretation of the entire modern school exegesis of the Bible is heavily influenced by certain philosophies. These exegetes did not approach the texts unencumbered; rather, they were often deeply intertwined biographically with significant philosophers of their time. Therefore, one should subject even scholarly opinions to a critical examination, rather than naively consider them as pure words of God.
