Authors: Dorothea Meadows and Gudrun Jantschke, born in 1974 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz), are twin sisters. They are inseparable – at least in spirit. Life has taken them in different directions for several years: Gudrun studied at the Berlin-Weissensee School of Art, worked as a designer in Herzogenrauch, and later traveled the world by sailing ship. Dorothea became a sports journalist, lived in London, and reported on football and Formula 1. When the two reunited in Berlin, Gudrun already had two daughters and Dorothea had two sons. For these four and all other beloved, cheeky, adventurous little ones, Paul Pampelmuse was created, a character whose world many children can relate to. "Paul Pampelmuse doesn’t want any vegetables" is their second joint book. In 2023, "Paul Pampelmuse wants a dog" was published.
