Nearly 70 years ago, the international emergency conference against anti-Semitism took place in the small town of Seelisberg, in the heart of inner Switzerland. Leading intellectuals from around the world discussed the causes of Christian anti-Semitism and the complicity of Christians in the Holocaust. As a result, the International Council of Christians and Jews (ICCJ) was founded. With the 10 theses adopted in Seelisberg at that time, Switzerland represents an important milestone in the dialogue between Jews and Christians. The presented volume sheds light on the pioneering phase of this dialogue in Switzerland and its international ramifications, questions the future of interreligious conversation, and examines how to promote brotherly coexistence in light of simmering interreligious conflicts.
