For penguins, the North Pole is still all new and unfamiliar. No problem, thinks Papa Polar Bear, and wants to show the new addition to the family how to be a real polar bear. But he fails miserably. However, he is unexpectedly appointed as a teacher at the polar bear school! Once there, it turns out to be a mistake, and he has to sit in class with Pelle and the penguins. He proudly observes what exemplary students his two children are. When the class is threatened by a huge orca, it's finally time for Papa Polar Bear to shine: he saves everyone and is honored with the title of teacher.
