Mrs. Maier has every reason to be happy, as she has found a new job at the castle on Herrenchiemsee Island. However, she has an uneasy feeling about it, and of course, her intuition proves correct once again. Hardly has she started her duties when she stumbles upon inconsistencies and soon after, a corpse. As if that weren't enough, Mrs. Maier can't shake the feeling that she is seeing ghosts. After all, who or what could be the figure dressed as King Ludwig II that is following her? And who is persistently whispering her name? Although she initially wants to avoid getting involved in the investigation, the new commissioner assigned to the case asks for her help.
