It all begins with a visit to the circus: Out of love for animals, twelve-year-old Luka curses the cruel circus director, Captain Aag. That same night, a fire breaks out in the circus, and the animals dare to revolt. Two of them - Dog, the Bear, a gifted dancer, and Bear, the Dog, a talented singer - take refuge with Luka. They become his best friends. But Aag vows revenge. Soon after the fire, Rashid falls into a deep sleep and does not wake up again.
