Flynne Fisher lives in rural America in the near future, where jobs are scarce and veterans from the wars struggle to recover. She makes her living through freelance online gaming and participates in some rather strange activities. Wilf Netherton lives in London, seventy years later, on the other side of decades of slow apocalypses. For the wealthy, things are going well, and there are not many left who are poor. Flynne and Wilf are about to meet. Their world will change completely, and Wilf, despite all his decadence and power, will learn that some of those third-world types from the distant past can be real badasses.
