Originally planned as a language trip to Argentina and Chile, Morten and Rochssare hitchhike from the glaciers of Patagonia to the dream beaches of the Caribbean in Colombia and Venezuela. They spend a month drifting down the Amazon on market boats, descend into the silver mines of Bolivia, and visit the Mennonites in Paraguay. They couchsurf through student apartments, share the rural life of the local population, and experience the luxury of gated communities in the metropolises. They make friends with truck drivers and dive with sea lions off the coast of Galapagos. Only after two years and 246 rides can they finally detach themselves from this distant continent.
