Relationships with children during puberty are often very conflictual. The growing need to determine their own lives usually contradicts that of the adults. Adults want to continue to dictate their rules, expectations, and goals regarding their child, their environment, and all learning objectives and methods - to raise them in their direction. Most conflicts during puberty are due to this opposition, especially between parents and their children. Relationships in which children and adolescents are supported by adults in their journey to adulthood are much more relaxed, loving, and trusting - with attitude, heart, and mind.
