The German version of the "ESC Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Pericardial Diseases" provides doctors with clearly structured and practice-relevant recommendations to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of pericardial diseases. Covering various etiologies (traumatic, neoplastic, etc.) and clinical manifestations of pericardial syndromes, as well as multimodal imaging and diagnostic evaluation, to interventional pericardiology and surgery, the pocket guideline offers extensive knowledge for everyday clinical practice. Additionally, it includes information on specific pericardial syndromes, such as chylopericardium, pericardial cysts, pericardial involvement in systemic autoimmune diseases, and age- and sex-specific aspects of pericardial diseases (pediatric patients, pregnant women, nursing mothers, the elderly).
