It is central to every religious education curriculum in primary schools that students develop an initial understanding of the person and work of Jesus. However, today more than ever, children come to primary school with very different levels of knowledge about Jesus—many encounter Jesus for the first time. Taking these diverse backgrounds and starting points into account, the learning stations offer a variety of stimuli and opportunities to engage with the figure of Jesus through independent and practical exploration of historical information and biblical narratives. In five chapters, fundamental questions about the topic of Jesus are presented, aligned with the competency descriptions of current curricula. The worksheets often provide differentiated tasks to enable various approaches.
